The Guided Flyer - Kayak & Bike (1 Day)

"Fantastic day out - kayaking was stunning, mountain biking combined a great mix of excitement. Friendly staff & awesome views" (Huw, UK)
Kayaks pulled up on the beautiful Te Pukatea beach, Abel Tasman National Park Jorg & Charlotte from the Netherlands check out the marble quarry remains on the Marble Mountain ride. This quarry gave us our Parliament Buildings in Wellington!

A fantastic combination of the best the Abel Tasman has to offer!

The day begins with a half day guided kayak trip through the sheltered waters of the Astrolabe Roadstead from Marahau to Watering Cove. This is a cruisy paddle and you will have plenty of time to soak up the magic of the beautiful blue waters, white sand beaches and idyllic islands. Following your arrival at Watering Cove your water taxi will pick you up and return you back to Marahau for a sumptuous lunch at Hooked on Marahau*. You will have time to enjoy sun-drenched outdoor dining before joining the afternoon Marble Mountain ride.

You will be taken high up on the Takaka Hill overlooking the Abel Tasman National Park, where you can retrace and map out the mornings journey with views straight up the Astrolabe Roadstead and even over to the Marlborough Sounds. From here your mountain bike descent begins through some of New Zealand's most historic private farmland of which we have exclusive consent to access. You can expect nice wide 4WD trails with some fun and fast sections where you can jump that little kicker or just cruise at your own pace and soak up the views. This ride has something for every ability.

Following afternoon tea, your shuttle will take you (on your very short journey) back to base.

Day One: Mountain bike the awesome Marble Mountain ride taking in the legend, awe-inspiring views and kiwi farmland. Return back to Marahau where you will board your water taxi to Anchorage. Spend the afternoon hiking around Anchorage Beach and the many beautiful short walks - check out the sensational views from the headland walk or take a fresh water dip in Cleopatra's Pool. Alternatively spend the afternoon with a good book and the lapping sound of the water on the golden sand beach. Day Two: This morning you will have a leisurely rise and then catch the 9.45am water taxi from Anchorage to Onetahuti Beach where you will begin your full day kayak trip. Your guide will take you through all the safety precautions before you head off to explore the wonders of the Tonga Island Marine Reserve. Following lunch on any one of the beautiful beaches you will finish the day sailing the sea breeze into Anchorage Bay via tranquil lagoons. Your day finishes with a water taxi cruise back to Marahau.
